1. Find a car picture that you would like the effect added to.
I chose this, a picture of a Lotus Elise.
2. Now using the Elliptical Marquee Tool
, make a circular marquee around one of the wheels. Make sure you have captured the entire rim or else the end result might look bad.
3. Now, go to Filter > Blur > Radial Blur.
4. Enter the following selections.
5. Your first wheel should look something like this.
6. Now just repeat steps 2, 3, and 4 on the back wheel, but this time, since the back wheel is a tad bit bigger, use a bigger marquee.
7. This is the end result.
Some tips for future "wheel-spinning"
- When the picture of the car is taken from a side angle like the Lotus Elise one above, press Shift while making a circle so the marquee comes out perfectly circular.
- If the car is on an angle, Like this 350Z Then one (or both) of the wheels will not be a perfect circle so you do not press shift.
- Change the radial blur amount according to your liking.
And thats it! Hope you like the result!
