This tutorial will show you how to call javascript functions from flex and flex functions from javascript. There is a really nice example of the use of this on Google Finance, as well as a number of other google sites.
The application below gives you a little taste of what can be done between javascript and flex. You can add people to the flex application using the small form on the bottom right through javascript, and if you select a person in the flex app and click the "Javascript Display" button you will get the info back out to the small form on the top right.

budy i'm having some problem, i used exactly the same code for mxml and also the same html code as u told in the tutorial for the html page.
Steps i followed are,
i) after creating the Flex Project, i exported the whole project
ii)then editted the .html file and put the html stuff and script functions there (just below the embedded moview object code)
Problem is that, when i enter any text in the inputs and Press ADD PERSON... a javascript error occurs saying...
Error: Object does'nt support this property or method
and this occurs on the " line 51" ...
line 50 --> var doc=getFlexApp('TestProject');
line 51 --> doc.addPerson(name, age, sex);
Kindly help me sort this out, it would be good if you reply me on my email...thanks
